Tusen takk Janne!

I made a new pincushion and took it out to find more signs of spring. A little bee is making good honey. I also got a fantastic pincushion in a cup from Janne in Bea's pincushionswap.

Scrap Happy Day i mars

I made some new blocks the last days, and joined them to bigger blocks. Find more scrap quilts on Rutigt's blog today.

The corners are taking form, and I'm the closest I've ever been to finish this top.

It's been a great blog hop hosted by Carol this week, with lots of inspiration for small projects. If you didn't see all, just jump over to Carol and find the list of participants. I found this little bag on Joan's blog, and had to sew it right away. I even made a matching pincushion to fit into it.

Island Batik gave me the fabrics used in this project.

I had to wait weeks for my Island Batik box. But now it's here, and you can see all, upps, nearly all, of what was inside. If you follow my blog, you'll see what I make out of these fantastic batiks this spring. As an Island Batik Ambassador I'm given all these beautiful fabrics from Island Batik, but also products from the partners Aurifil Thread and Hobbs.

It was a big box, so well worth waiting for.

A bundle of Pumpkin Patch fabrics. Here you can see most of these fabrics in use.

The foundation bundle has got bright and fun colours.

Blue Moon with coordinating light and dark fabrics.

Fabrics for Valentines, but I got the box too late, and will use them for other projects.
Neutral fabrics are always useful. You can see more here.

Stash builder rolls with 5" strips. Perfect for use in different projects.

These fabrics are just fantastic, but you have to wait until May to see them. Sorry.

Beautiful batik rayon for clothes.

A rayon scarf, perfect colours for me.

6 spools with Aurifil Thread, a cone and a fantastic guide showing what thread to use for different purposes.

Hobbs guide for batting. I should have had this one years ago. I've already found out what batting to use in my La Passion.

Thermore from Hobbs, for all types of quilts.

Hobbs Heirloom cotton batting for a twin size quilt.

This is a never ending project. Some small holes, but still several hundred hexies to go. But I keep on working every day.

Elementz Blog Hop + giveaway

Tammy Silvers is a fabric designer and made this line for Island Batik. She has made the most beautiful batiks in bright colours, real eye candy. So if you, as I did before, think batiks are just pastels, you have to read on.

Be sure to enter the Rafflecopter at Island Batik or Tamarinis for a chance to win a Fat Eight Bundle of Elementz! You'll also find my giveaway at the end of this post.

Today is my day, but this blog hop started on Feb 26, so be sure to check out each stop on the hop to find more ideas on using these fabrics. There are also more giveaways on many of the blogs.

First I made this 11"x24" sandwich and chose a monkey wreath window on the front. The edges are rounded a bit, I quilted it and put on a binding.

I used Aurifil thread for the quilting, it went like a dream.

The zipper is fastened with quilting on the binding.

The front

and the back. Here I  can embroider a name if I like.

I like to have a chance to hang it up.

It's deep so I can have my things standing inside.

I'm so happy with this bag.

Here is what I made earlier with this fabric line.
